Goatwater, Series 2:

CRACKED FIGURINES - PAGE 8 - When It Comes To Family

Pallbearer
Visitors, welcome! What’s that, now? Speak to you of the natives views concerning family? Why, with great pleasure. Forgive me in advance if I become emotional. E-hem! When it comes to family, we always say: “Come with your cod-fish-cakes, your Johnny-cakes, your black cake, and never leave behind your blood pudding. Come with your cross, your totem, your stick, your gun. Come with your bare tits, your broke, bony ass, your drunk-joys, your white and silver dreams, your dusky despair. Please come with your masks – shit-faced and mud faced, yellow faced and green faced covering your black face, in this place, but not of this place. Come with your Holy spirit, your hoodoon, your holy rollers wearing hair rollers, your homeless hustlers, your hackneyed whores. Bring us your hooch, your ‘who’s your daddies,’ your menaces mad at their Mammies – I mean their Mommies – and we shall find pleasure in hating each other because we cannot help but be disgusted by how much we still love each other through all of our thankless living, desperate loving and pitiful dying.” Does this answer your question? Good. And after our actor-figurines take their bows, please leave them as they are. Capital! And do get those blasted cameras off of us. I know we are fascinating creatures but you haven’t paid us for centuries. Off you go!

Dear Reader,

If you don't dream any other day of the week, dream with me on Tuesdays.

Welcome to Goatwater, Series #2, entitled "Cracked Figurines."  The title of this Page is "When It Comes To Family."  I will post Goatwater 2, page 9 on Tuesday, June 19th.  Here's a link to the latest Goatwaterstrip.

Goatwaterstrip - single panel Goatwater comics in black and white, much like you'd find in a newspaper.  I create most of these with pen, pencil, ink and sometimes black and white paint. Every Tuesday you can continue to expect a full color painting from the Goatwater series plus most weeks I'll add one or two Goatwaterstrips in black and white. Please contact me if you have any questions about original Goatwater drawings or paintings for sale as well as signed reproductions. Thank you for all of your support and I look forward to continuing this Goatwater journey with you in new and interesting ways.

You can now link to the Table of Contents on every page. Click here to start at the beginning of this webcomic. Have a great week and remember that Goatwater is updated every Tuesday. Email any questions or comments to bassacards(at) yahoo.com.

If this is your first time visiting this site, or you are a regular reader, email me at the address above if you want me to add you to my mailing list so that I can send you an email reminder, every Tuesday, when I’ve added the new page. No spam, and I will not share your email with anybody else, just the link to the new page and some update information, if I have any. And feel free to let me know, at any time, if you want to stop receiving the weekly emails. Thank you for your support!
