Extra Long, Extra Hard, Extra Black And Extra Deep

Maman
(sings)
Lawman, when you are fair, you are fortunate.
At night, you get quite a peaceful sleep.
Painters petition you for your portrait,
which is yours, of course, to keep.
But when you compose of mud and shadow,
tenement brick-a-brack,
iniquity and cocoa heat,
you find your dark self laughing,
extra long,
extra hard,
extra black
and extra deep.
You find a nice pant at the market,
two for one dollar.
Excited it so cheap,
you laugh like a drunken idiot before you holler,
because when you about to pay for the pant,
salesman say it have on the wrong tag.
The pant cost more money –
you ain’t got it,
him take the pant out the plastic bag.
You say to the salesman,
“Pad’ner, look at my person,
I’ve become a Lawman in a dress.”
You of course continue to curse him
‘til the Salesman call you a stupid, dark brown mess.
Laughing, you say, “Salesman, I knew your Dear Mother,
a Taste with a pink, delicious pair of breast.
I knew so much more of her
which I will tell Reverend and Paparazzi
if you do not put an end to this duress.
Yes! Now please give up that pant, man,
so I can take off this nelly dress.”
Bred’ren, ain’t it true that when you fairer, you more fortunate,
because at night you is allowed uninterrupted sleep.
Painters petition your profile for dem portrait,
which is yours of course to keep.
But when you compose of mud and shadow,
tenement brick-a-brack,
iniquity and cocoa heat,
you find your pickney self laughing
extra long,
extra hard,
extra black
and extra deep.

Now, take one good look at me, Lawman Officer.
My skin like it should – so light, so good.
I arrive at carnival respectfully,
perched on top of this diner,
but wait, man, you’re right,
why DE hell
is it like DE Establshment
coming out my vagina?
Hahahahahahaha!
Oh damn this vertigo in ME ‘ead,
and lately a tit,
just a tit, of mild angina.
But for all me complaints, Lawman
life couldn’t be more fairer, just or finer.
Because when you fairer you more fortunater.
At night no one make a peep.
Painters petition you for your lovely portraiture,
which is yours of course to keep.
But when you compose of mud and shadow,
tenement brick-a-brack,
iniquity and cocoa heat,
don’t you find your dark self laughing,
extra long,
extra hard,
extra black
and extra deep?
