Ruthie, take off your mask!  Take of your mask.

Ruthie
No!  I'll do it tomorrow.  I'll do it tomorrow.  Tomorrow.  Hallelujah!

(sings)
I’m done not doing good;
Time to do the things I should.
I’m done not doing right
in the Morning, afternoon and night.

Jesus help me change my ways.
I’m such a slave to the devil these days
and the Devil don’t need no praise
He just comes uninvited and stays.

He’s committed to being a badman
and making me stay as abominable as I am.
But Lord, I’ve got to question my eternal survival
if I don’t learn to read your big Ol’ Bible.

Jesus, I know you must abhor me;
I’ve called and prayed to you my whole life
and you’ve only ignored me.
Holy Father, don’t bother to explain yourself, because,
Sir, I am far from sad.
I’m just so used to wanting what I never had.

I will confess that the Devil’s down to earth teachings
have trumped your hoity toity preachings.
But I’m done believing standards and morals
Won’t get me cash
I’ve given up pinching snuff and smoking pipe –
I’ve never really been that type.
If I want to relax, I will no longer drink cheap liquour and smoke hash.
I renounce that the devil said – gotta get this outta my lousy head –
That praying is a waste of time.
He said, ain’t nothing, even you, Jesus, is truly sublime.

Lord Jesus, it’s undeniable, the Devil has been more reliable.
Got me off the street and put food in my mouth to eat
Warmed me up when I had no heat, even bought me new front teeth
Most of all, for better or worse, the Devil never leaves me.
He never shies from telling me how much he needs me.
I thought I needed him, too,
But what I truly need, Holy Father, is you.

Though the Sweet Devil might be a tough act to follow,
I’ve got to consider all of these tomorrows
So, Hello, Hello Jesus Christ.
Answer my prayers, don’t judge me, keep me company and be nice.
And Goodbye, Devil.
Now don’t you for a moment feel sad,
Because, you know I’ve always wanted what I couldn’t have.
